Polly is inspired by the ‘soldier bears’ we have in our museum. Similar bears fitted easily into the uniform pockets of World War I soldiers and were kept as lucky mascots and souvenirs of home.
Made of aged and hand-plucked, cream mohair, Polly wears an off-white, knitted sweater with purple French knots, and a purple cotton skirt.
