Princess is a same-size replica of a very small circa 1910, German velveteen rabbit, which belonged to Princess Xenia Georgievna of Russia.
The original rabbit was sold to Ian Pout of Teddy Bears of Witney in 2005 by Princess Xenia’s grand-daughter.
After Alfonzo’s departure in 2017, this is our last memento of the Romanov era.
Made of specially lined velveteen, Princess has then been through several ageing processes, all carefully completed by hand. A cotton-embossed, gold Jacquard cushion, filled with glass beads, comes with her.
