We cannot find Herby in the Steiff Sortiment Book and, unusually, there is no serial number on the cloth tag. Was he put into production? We don’t know.
Non-jointed, this cheerful-looking gardener is made of velveteen with a PVC head. He wears a felt hat and apron and comes with a plastic dual fork and spade. In very good condition with button, cloth tag, chest tag and hand-written Steiff archive label dated 1978 (see photo).
