This large and handsome bear was made to celebrate the centenary of Steiff’s (and the world’s) first-ever teddy bear in 1902. Made of luxurious, long pile, wavy and distressed, old gold mohair, he has brown and black safety eyes and felt paw pads. His ribbon neck bow is embroidered in gold ‘1902 2002 Steiff Teddy’. In excellent, fresh condition, he growls when tipped backwards, and comes with box and certificate. (If bought by someone outside the UK, there will be a GBP65 surcharge towards the airmail cost.)
