This Teddy Baby, was the first in a series of annual bears made for members of the Steiff Club
Made of very pale blue mohair with pale brown and black glass eyes and felt paw pads, he is traditionally filled with wood shavings, and wears a studded, blue leather collar. A total of 7950 were made, of which this is number 4933. The back of his ear tag is specked with brown (see photo); otherwise, he is in excellent, fresh condition. This, the first Steiff Club Bear, never had a certificate but does have a box.
