Baby Alfonzo is inspired by Alfonzo, the most romantic bear in the world who was given to Princess Xenia of Russia by her father, Grand Duke George Michailovitch, in 1908.
Like him, Baby Alfonzo is a red mohair bear by Steiff. Also like the original, he wears a cotton sateen Cossack tunic and trousers (held up by braces!). Traditionally stuffed with wood shaving.
