This striking bear is made by Paul Thompson, who began bear-making in 1996.
Made of distressed, black mohair, Ben has black glass eyes and soft, brown leather paw pads. Filled with wood shavings, with glass beads added for weight, he wears a blue linen sailor jacket, off-white linen trousers (supported by leather braces) and a cotton neckerchief.
