This is a replica of Quirky, a circa 1915 harlequin-style bear, formerly in our museum in Witney.
The head and feet are made of old gold mohair, and his body, arms and legs are green and red mohair. He has shoe button eyes and a brown, skip-stitched nose. Softly pellet filled, his neck and arms are jointed. Like the original, the tops of his legs are stitched so that he sits easily. Mr Jingles has two old-looking bells down his front, and another tips his aged felt Santa hat. Number 5 of the edition, he is as new with bag and certificate signed by Ian Pout.
