Farnell by Robin Rive, New Zealand circa 2000

£95.00

This large bear is inspired by those made by the eponymous English company, who made classic bears in the early 1900s. Made of ultra-sparse and distressed, creamy beige mohair. He has amber and black eyes (believed glass), a skip-stitched nose and claw-stitched, felt paw pads. Robin Rive’s trade mark is printed on one foot and ‘since 1902’ on the other, which is made with a hole to show the wood wool stuffing underneath. Number 141 of the edition, he is as new with certificate. (If bought by someone outside the UK. There will be a GBP85 surcharge towards the airmail cost.)
