Made in 2014 for our 2015 catalogue, Higgledy was inspired by a 1909 German original, who was worn beyond repair but sufficiently recognizable that we were able to retain the old bear’s design and some of his character.
Softly filled and highly tactile, Higgledy is made of sparse, aged and extensively hand-plucked, blond mohair with black glass eyes, a skip-stitched nose and aged felt paw pads. We believe this to be the prototype, He has no sewn-in Teddy Bears of Witney label but comes with his name tag pendant and a certificate signed by Ian Pout (see photo). Only one available.
