Made in England, this finely crafted bear is made of wavy and luxurious, pink-shaded, ivory mohair with blue and black safety eyes and a hand-stitched smile. One of her cotton velvet footpads has been embroidered in gold thread to indicate Her Majesty’s lifetime, whilst the other has a gold-embroidered Merrythought label.
The bear’s high quality, royal blue outfit is inspired by Her Majesty’s favourite style of coat and hat, which she often wore to public engagements. The organza flower detailing on her felted hat co-ordinates with her elegant string pearl necklace. On her coat is a replica of a brooch, given to Queen Victoria by her husband-to-be Prince Albert, and which went on to become Queen Elizabeth’s brooch of choice for many royal occasions.
The Celebration Bear comes with the certificate of authenticity in a gold presentation box.
