This large and gentle-looking bear is modelled on a circa 1908 original. Made of sparse and distressed, long pile cinnamon mohair, he has vintage shoe button eyes, a wobble-jointed neck and lightly felt paw pads. Ernest is filled with a mixture of polyfibre and wood shavings. There are 3 very small pierced holes in each paw, which we believe were caused by some fittings attached to his feet by his previous owner. Otherwise in excellent condition, this bear was the prototype for an edition in our 1998 catalogue.
