Lop-eared Terrier, believed by Josef Pitrmann, Germany, circa 1930s

This highly endearing terrier is made of brown-tipped, cream long pile mohair with amber and black glass eyes and a jointed neck. Firmly filled with wood shavings, his tail could once have been squeezed to activate a squeaker. This no longer works. The mohair is in generally good condition other than the right foreleg, where there is a bald patch (see photo). Lovely!
