This large and convincingly old-looking, classic bear is made of distressed cream mohair with shiny black glass eyes, a waxed brown thread nose, age-painted facial detail and aged linen paw pads. Heavily filled with a mixture of wood shavings and mineral granules, Maddie wears a cheesecloth scarf and a long dress with a pink cotton bodice and a tulle skirt overlaid with ruched cotton. The cameo is modern. The dress materials are all vintage. Like all AliJayne’s bears, she has a gold-plated heart in her left ear.
