This bear was modelled on a 1920s German bear, which Ian bought at Bonham’s London auction rooms in 1995. It was designed to hang from the arm of a gramophone and ‘dance’ on the record beneath.
Made of aged and distressed blond mohair, he has black button eyes and felt paw pads. He wears a removable, aged, pale blue cotton suit. Softly pellet filled, Master Dancer has a sewn-in Teddy Bears of Witney label as well as his name tag pendant, and comes with a certificate signed by Ian Pout. Only one available.
