This bear was, almost certainly, home-made from available materials, during or soon after WWII, when materials were in short supply, possibly using a kit from a women’s magazine. The mohair head and hands are probably taken from a pre-War Dean’s bear. The velvet body and dress would have been made out of other fabrics then at hand. She has brown and black glass eyes. (If bought by someone outside the UK, there will be a GBP35 surcharge towards the airmail cost.)
