This small-scale replica of Aloysius was made to celebrate the dual anniversaries – the 35th for Teddy Bears of Witney and the 75th since the publication of Evelyn Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited in 1945.
Made of traditional, dense, warm gold mohair, he has black button eyes and felt paw pads. Like the original bear, he has several painstakingly hand-stitched patches and a red felt mouth, and wears a Daks-Simpson scarf. He (number 40 of the edition) is as new with certificate.
