Miss Marple by an unknown English maker, circa 2000

£68.00

This little bear has neither a certificate nor a label but the lady, who parted with her, remembers buying her in a teddy bear shop in Bourton on the Water more than 25 years ago, and that she was called ‘Miss Marple’.

Very well made, she has a sparse and distressed, gold mohair head with blue and black glass eyes and a skip-stitched nose. Fully jointed, her body, arms and legs are made of distressed, grey mohair with faux suede paw pads. She is faithfully dressed with a felt hat, a wool dress and a vintage lace shawl, and is in excellent condition.
