This stylishly casual, medium-sized cat is made of sparse and distressed, brown-tipped, cream mohair with small and shiny black glass eyes, a needle-felted muzzle and black thread whiskers. Marcel wears a soft linen cap, knitted sweater, a textured cotton jacket (with aged faux leather elbow patches) and ticking trousers (with a hole for his tail). A patched cloth bag is slung over one shoulder. Fully jointed, he is filled with natural cotton, with steel beads added for weight. Push his feet down and he stands freely. As always with Miryam’s creations, the clothes are in muted colours and aged with great sensitivity.
