This, the third in Steiff’s series of British Collectors’ Bears, is made of distressed, long pile, black mohair with black, lacquered wood button eyes (with red felt discs behind) and felt paw pads. Traditionally filled with wood shavings, this impressive ‘Titanic bear’ growls when tipped backwards. (Please note that this is unusual as many growlers on this replica no longer work.) Number 567 of the edition, he is in excellent, fresh condition with box (but no lid) and certificate. (If bought by someone outside the UK, there will be a GBP110 surcharge towards the airmail cost.)
