This exceptional, large, classic Steiff bear is made of wavy and distressed, blond mohair with large black, lacquered, wooden eyes, brown stitching, felt paw pads and a distinctive back hump. Traditionally and firmly filled with wood shavings, he has a patinated steel button in ear, similar to those used in 1908. He has a good, long growl when tipped backwards. In exceptionally good condition, this bear (number 129 of the edition), is complete with box and certificate. A very handsome bear!
