Steiff Baerle 35 PB 1904 Replica, in 1991

£95.00

This is a replica of one of Steiff’s very earliest, string-jointed bears. (String joints were only used for a very short time because they lacked durability.) Made of wavy, long pile cinnamon mohair, he has large, black-lacquered wooden eyes and, like the originals, a sealing wax nose. He is traditionally filled with wood shavings. The clear box lid has aged. However, the bear, number 1642 of the edition, is in pristine condition with certificate (If bought by someone outside the UK, there will be a GBP95 surcharge towards the airmail cost.)
