Made exclusively for Teddy Bears of Witney to celebrate 100 years since Alfonzo was ‘born’, this is a sympathetic re-creation of that much-loved bear with his Romanov history. The dense, dark red mohair is carefully plucked to resemble the patches on the actual 1908 Alfonzo. The hand pads re-create the look and feel of the original’s chamois restoration. His cotton sateen, Cossack tunic and trousers are, again, similar to Alfonzo’s. This bear, (number 646 of the edition) is complete with working growler in a decorative box with a hardback copy of The Alfonzo Story and certificate.
