This replica of one of a toy designed by Richard Steiff, whose favourite pet was a dachshund, which he took hunting with him in the woods near Giengen. He also had a sense of humour – hence this wonderful, elongated velvet dachshund. Non-jointed, he has black glass eyes and is traditionally filled with wood shavings. Still attached to his box, he is as new with box, certificate and packing box. (If bought by someone outside the UK, there will be a GBP95 surcharge towards the airmail cost.)
