This ladybird is very little and very lovely, as well as very rare. Never with button, this piece was made as a souvenir for those attending a class reunion (believed 20 years) after leaving the Margarete Steiff Gymnasium (High School) in Giengen. Made of red, black and white textured wool with black glass eyes, airbrushed detail and cotton thread antennae, the ladybird sits on a subtly airbrushed, felt leaf. A silver-coloured brooch fastening is attached underneath. In excellent, fresh condition.
