Originally made exclusively for the US and modelled on a 1904 original in the Margaret Strong Museum in New York, this beige-gold mohair bear has black button safety eyes and felt paw pads. This was the model used for quality control for the Ring Bearer, one of a 4-piece wedding set, made for the US. Never with button but as new with Steiff Werkmuster label dated 17.12.84, as well as Steiff metal seal (see photo).
