Taking its design from a 1926 original, this classic bear is made of long pile, reddish brown mohair with generous brown and black eyes and faux suede paw pads. He wears a felt clown hat with Harrods green pompoms, and a harmonising clown collar. (The felt hat is detached.) Turn the key in his back to play ‘The Entertainer’. Number 00057 of the edition, this bear is in excellent condition with gold-plated button in ear and crisp white ear tag, complete with box and certificate. The clear lid of the box is browned with age. His right hand pad is signed by Jorg Junginger, great grand-nephew of Margarete Steiff and then head of the Steiff Design Department.
