This classic, early Steiff bear is made of pale caramel mohair with close-together shoe button eyes, a long, narrow muzzle with brown stitching, and felt paw pads. Traditionally filled with wood shavings, he is played-worn all over and there is wear on his back legs, on all paw pads, as well as an old repair on his left hand (see photos). However, there is no serious damage and he remains a very charming example with small (5mm) Steiff button in ear.
